Just as Sontag critiqued metaphorical thinking about illness, this exhibition diagnoses contemporary society's numbing of the senses as a kind of illness, and begins the journey of recovering that stalled flow of sensation.

Healing is not simply the disappearance of illness. It may be the process of restoring time we let pass unfelt, emotions we overlooked, and words never spoken — a recovery this exhibition invites you to experience through art.
