Kim Ki Seob

Kim Ki Seob is a Korean painter whose Internal Universe and Internal Reflection series translate his inner world into abstracted natural landscapes, using invented colors and forms drawn from nature. Later works place solitary animals within these dreamlike scenes to express a complex blend of loneliness, peace, and quiet dignity. He holds an MFA from Pratt Institute and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and has held numerous solo exhibitions in Seoul and abroad, including at Soohoh Gallery.
