Soohoh Special Exhibition Part 1: Moderation, Solidarity

Marking the 300th anniversary of Kant's birth in 2024, this exhibition opens the "Moderation, Solidarity" series, spotlighting artists who, like Kant's disciplined, self-directed life, pursue art as a devotional practice. "Waterdrop painter" Kim Tschang-yeul (1929–2021) described his practice as "a kind of spiritual play, an act like meditation or prayer."

Korean contemporary artists build up, layer by layer, works of restraint and rigorous practice, like seekers on a path, inviting viewers to empty out anger, anxiety, and fear and experience ultimate peace.
