Qwon Sun Wang

Qwon Sun Wang (b. 1968) developed "Prainting" — a practice fusing printmaking processes and painting. Holding a PhD in fine arts from Hongik University, he serves as visiting professor of printmaking at Hongik University and has published KCI-indexed research on conceptual printmaking and the visual perception of the Prainting/Phanism image.

Across more than 42 solo exhibitions in Seoul, Paris and Strasbourg, his career includes residencies at MMCA Goyang (1st cohort), SeMA Nanji (4th) and CEAAC Strasbourg, the KAPA International Art Award for Best Artist (2019), and performance works staged at Soohoh Gallery and internationally.
