Qwon Sun-wang Solo Exhibition: Prainting Chorus

"History," "time," and "life" have been Qwon Sun-wang's subjects since 2005 — an artistic search for the individual's existential time within the vast category of history. The recurring "lines" and "waves" in his work are flashes of an instant: a kite's string suddenly snapping, the shape of the line resembling a wave, a mark that, like the ever-flowing water, can never be redrawn the same way twice.

Through his concept of "prainting," the artist explores the complexity of an inner world of past, memory, recollection, and the unconscious — a deep contemplation on human existence.
