Haekang Lee

Haekang Lee (b. 1989) paints ambiguous images using spray paint and oil, a pairing that bridges street culture and contemporary art and mirrors his own dual practice as a graffiti artist turned video creator and painter. Since 2014 he has developed a distinctive method of "morphing," blending two disparate images so each retains its own character while forming an unpredictable new whole. He studied Digital Media Design at Hongik University (2016).
