Hwang Ji Hyun
황지현

Hwang Ji Hyun visualizes moments of collision and resonance in women's everyday lives, using recurring motifs of wombs and flowers — the womb as a site of both joy and pain, the flower as a stand-in for the curated, "beautiful" self projected on social media. She holds a BFA and MFA in painting from Dongduk Women's University and completed doctoral coursework there. Her many solo exhibitions include "Where You Breathe" (Gallery Hanok, 2020, Grand Prize) and "The Lighthouse" (The K Gallery, Seoul, 2012), and her work is held by Korea Pfizer, Gloria Opera, and Dongduk Women's University Museum, among others.
