Mia Kim
김미아

Mia Kim, an MFA graduate in painting from Hongik University, depicts the daily lives of city dwellers in bold, simplified pop-art forms with strong outlines and vivid color, viewing urban life — having grown up amid Seoul's high-rise apartment complexes since the 1970s — with a positive and active lens. She has held 16 solo exhibitions, including "The Daily Life of Contemporary Man" (2019) and "Urban Landscape Project" at Soohoh Gallery (2017), and her work is held in the collections of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art's Art Bank, among others.
