Kang Hoon Lee Solo Exhibition: Intersection
Jun 22, 2018 – Jul 6, 2018 · SOOHOH GALLERY

Unlike the past when community took up the major part of life, contemporary people focus on their personal lives. Although the importance of the individual is constantly rising, an attempt to perceive and examine the identity that forms "oneself" and the existence of people around oneself has not been made successfully.
Artist Kang-hun Lee takes the view that relationship is the essence of what makes a human, and identity is an ever-changing feature in correlation with others. He completes his artwork by re-interpreting concepts of humans through his own perspective. Based on the fact that it is impossible to fully understand one another even though people influence each other in a diversity of relationships, he uses his works as a pathway to communicate and understand each other.
In his successive works, "Floating Representation" and "Composition," he is concerned with basic questions of humanity and the agony of artistic expression.
We invite you to Kang-hun Lee's exhibition, which allows you to contemplate the visible and the invisible, metaphysics and physical science, and other existential problems.
