2017 Soohoh Art Concert

The Soohoh Art Concert (subtitled the Soohoh Love & Sharing Exhibition) presents work by capable domestic and international artists selected by Soohoh Gallery, alongside creative and experimental emerging artists chosen and supported annually through its own open call. Organized under the motto that both art lovers and the general public can enjoy, and that "life together with art is beautiful," this exhibition builds on the Soohoh spirit of sharing art and culture, expanding into a community art festival that fosters a warm, peaceful, and happy society through art in everyday life — raising public awareness of the need for, and positive role of, arts and culture. Through various programs, we share thoughts on revitalizing the art market and the shared growth of local culture, art, and economy, while also expanding the art market and presenting the work of local artists. Now in its 12th year, the Soohoh Art Concert offers art lovers and the general public alike a chance to appreciate artwork, understand trends in domestic and international art markets, and consider the direction art should take going forward. In particular, as a gallery rooted in this community, we strive to support the growth and vitalization of the local art scene, fostering networks among domestic and international art lovers and the wider public. The Soohoh Art Concert seeks to introduce capable artists and broaden the base of arts and culture, serving as a bridgehead helping Seongnam grow into a city where art lives and breathes.
