Kwon In Kyung
권인경

Kwon In Kyung works with antique-book collage, ink and acrylic on Korean paper, constructing "heterotopias" — realized utopias in which artificial interior spaces and compressed nature coexist within a single scene. Interiors, potted plants and borrowed landscapes intertwine into scenes at once unfamiliar and deeply ordinary, reflecting our desire to find rest inside while staying connected to the world outside.
She received her BFA, MFA and PhD in Oriental Painting from Hongik University. She was named Best Young Artist of the Year at the 2020 GAMMA Young Artist awards, selected for the 3rd POSCO Art Museum emerging artist competition "The Great Artist" (2016), and reached the finals of the 2024 Gasong Art Prize.
