Moonyoung Lee
이문영

Moonyoung Lee (b. 1964) creates paintings centered on "contemplation," using arrangements of space and empty margins — sky, cloud, water, void — to set off natural subjects and express philosophical meditation. Her gaze moves between observer and observed, offering viewers quiet stillness and gentle solace amid the pressures of contemporary life. She holds a BFA and MFA in environmental sculpture from the University of Seoul, and won the Grand Prize at the 10th Seoul Contemporary Sculpture Competition (1995).
