Kook Daeho
국대호

Kook Daeho is an abstract painter who has built a decades-long practice around color as the essential language of painting, layering thinned oils and gestural strokes to explore density, speed, and rhythm on canvas. He earned his BFA in Western painting from Seoul National University and two MFAs in Paris, at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts and Université Paris 8, and has held solo exhibitions extensively across Korea, France, and beyond, including a 2006 retrospective at Kumho Museum of Art in Seoul.
